Submitting a Paper to MFPS

Submissions to MFPS should be made through EasyChair
They should be prepared using LaTeX macros that can be found here, following the instructions included in the template file example.tex.

Preparing the final version

The MFPS Proceedings will appear as a volume in the series Electronic Notes in Theoretical Informatics and Computer Science (ENTICS).  ENTICS is an overlay series hosted on the Episciences.org platform, with the papers in each volume appearing on the CORR arXiv (US) or the HAL archive (France).  Accepted papers should be formatted using the same LaTeX macros used for submitting papers to MFPS (found here). Details about the process for submitting final versions of papers for the MFPS Proceedings can be found on the ENTICS website under Instructions for Authors.

MFPS Proceedings Volumes

With the exception of the second MFPS Workshop in 1986, every MFPS has produced a proceedings volume.

In its early years, MFPS alternated between a Conference with a Call for Papers, and a Workshop at which all participated were invited to give a talk.

The Conferences were held in odd years, and in the early years, the proceedings were volumes in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series (1985, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993.)

In 1995, the online series Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science (ENTCS) was founded, and its first volume was devoted to the Proceedings of MFPS XI. The proceedings of every MFPS Conference from then until 2020 has been published in ENTCS. A complete listing of the ENTCS and LNCS volumes containing MFPS Proceedings can be found here

In 2020, Elsevier decided to stop publishing ENTCS, and the Proceedings of MFPS 2021 were published in Electronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, EPTCS 351.

A new online series, Electronic Notes in Theoretical Informatics and Computer Science (ENTICS), is being founded. This new series is hosted by Episciences.org as an overlay series in which the papers are published the CORR arXiv or HAL.

In the even years, special issue of Theoretical Computer Science were published with journal papers submitted by the participants after the meeting. The MFPS meetings that produced such special issues took place in 1988, 1990, 1992a, 1992b, 1992c, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2012.
